PADDLING | SURFING | SUP
Lake Bolmen has over 300 islands and they are at your disposal to be discovered! A kayak or canoe trip to the Tira islands nature reserve, either during the day or with the opportunity to spend the night on a nice beach, is one of the best and unforgettable nature experiences in Småland!
Do you have your own motorboat and want to take a trip in Lake Bolmen? At the ferry berth there are both boat ramps and a bridge that facilitates loading so that you can start riding in a comfortable and smooth way.
Do you have a SUP board or sailboat instead?
Lake Bolmen is suitable for most water activities!
HIKE ON BOLMSÖ
Do you love the outdoors? Then you have the opportunity to observe different bird and animal species depending on the season you visit us. If you love nature photography, prepare your camera, you will not miss the subjects!
If you want to explore the island on your own, just borrow a map with marked hiking trails. Take the opportunity to pick mushrooms and berries depending on the season and enjoy all that nature has to offer!
BIKING AROUND LAKE BOLMEN
Do you want to challenge yourself or explore the island? Maybe even both. It's no problem!
Here you can cycle road cycling for longer distances and feel the pulse along the fine untrafficked roads around the lake. Get off on the small gravel roads to discover nature and wildlife at a slower pace. Via a map you can easily guide you around the island and explore the beautiful Småland nature that Bolmsö offers!
We have some bikes to rent in case you need.
FISHING IN LAKE BOLMEN
On Bolmsö, varied fishing is offered with the possibility of a rowing boat with room for 4 people. Relax with a fishing rod at the pier to fish for perch, or try more advanced techniques such as jerkbait to catch pike or trolling to challenge the pikeperch record!
Fishing license is a requirement and is available to buy online before you go out on the lake.
HIKE IN THE SURROUNDINGS
Just 40 minutes from us you can visit Store Mosse National Park and their Naturum information center, with many hiking trails, the perfect day trip to then return to your comfortable room and round off the evening.
If you want to hike but not go that far then there is Jälluntoftaleden , a nice hiking trail of 12 km. Also close and worth a visit is Draven nature reserve , a small flat lake and its two bird towers located just 10 km north of Bolmen. One of Småland's most interesting bird areas.

HIGH CHAPARRAL
Bring the children on a visit to the Wild West. Combine your excursion with a stay with us so that you can also enjoy the beautiful nature around Lake Bolmen! The turn to High Chaparral takes only 45 minutes and you take the car ferry for free to get over to the mainland. The ferry departs only a few hundred meters from our business.

BOLMEN RUNT - 20 MILES ON THE BICYCLE SADDLE
A nice trip in the local area is to cycle around Lake Bolmen. It will be about twenty miles on the bicycle saddle and is well suited for two to three days of pedaling. You can either start from Hägern B&N or we can be a stage in your planning.
